About
Pascal Bruel is a CNRS Research Officer at the Laboratory of Mathematics and their Applications (LMAP), University of Pau and Pays de l'Adour. He holds a Master's in Physics and an engineering degree from the National School of Aeronautics and Space. His PhD research focused on compressible RANS equations and turbulent combustion modeling.
His research explores fluid dynamics across Mach regimes, experimental methodologies (LDV/PIV), and sustainable energy storage solutions. Recent publications emphasize computational approaches to turbulent flow prediction and energy system optimizations.
He has supervised over 60 students including 15 doctoral candidates and led European projects like SOPRANO and KIAI. As former director of the Inria Cagire team (2011-2019), he established collaborations with aerospace industry partners including Turbomeca.
