Pascal Arnaud

Prof. Dr. Pascal Arnaud is a Senior Fellow associated with the Group C-5 Common Sense Geography at the collaborative research center Topoi, hosting the key topic Mapping. He contributed to the projects Insularity (C-5-3) and participated in Topoi I (2007-2012) and Topoi II (2012–2019) under the theme Spatial Environment.

His research focuses on the intersection of historical spaces, perception, and representation, with a particular emphasis on ancient geography and spatial network analysis. He has explored topics such as maritime trade routes, insularity, and the Stadiasmus Maris Magni in the context of the Roman Empire.
