Parvinder Sethi is a Professor in the Department of Geology at Radford University, affiliated with the Artis College of Science & Technology. His academic career includes teaching and research roles since the late 1990s, with notable recognitions for teaching excellence. He holds a B.S. from Ferguson College, M.S. from the University of Brussels, and a Ph.D. from North Carolina State University.

His research focuses on paleoclimatic applications of clays, geochemical analysis of sedimentary rocks, and innovative geoscience education technologies. Notable projects include studies on the Devonian Millboro Shale’s pyrite-based pollution potential, ancient climate change in Utah/Kansas, and development of interactive tools like Geo-Wall, ArcGIS, and 3D mineral modeling via photogrammetry.
Dr. Sethi has been honored with prestigious teaching awards, including the GSA Biggs Award (1997) and Radford University’s Dedmon Distinguished Teaching Professor designation (2017). His courses include GEOL 105 (Exploring Earth), GEOL 310 (Mineralogy), and GEOL 365 (Earth’s Ocean and Climate Systems).
