Professor Paresh Wankhade is a globally recognized expert in emergency services management, holding the title of Professor of Leadership and Management at Edge Hill University's Business School. He leads the UK's first Professional Doctorate in Emergency Services Management and serves as Editor-In-Chief of the International Journal of Emergency Services. His research focuses on strategic leadership, organizational culture, and interoperability within ambulance, police, and fire services. Wankhade is a Trustee of the Fire Service Research & Training Trust and holds fellowships from prestigious institutions including the Academy of Social Sciences and the Royal Society for the Arts.
His recent work includes co-authoring Emergency Services Management: A Research Overview (2023) and leading studies on ambulance staff wellbeing, NHS performance metrics, and pandemic response strategies.
