Pardis M Tehrani is the Associate Head and Associate Professor at the Law School of the University of Sunderland. She previously held roles at the University of Malaya, including Senior Lecturer and Visiting Associate Professor, and earned a PhD in Law from the National University of Malaya with the Zamalah Fellowship. Her research focuses on information technology law, cyber terrorism, international humanitarian law, and legal research methodology, with over 70 publications across journals like Computer Law and Security Review and publishers such as Springer and Brill.
Her recent projects include joint research on IPv6 network management with China's Ministry of Science and Technology, a maritime cybersecurity framework for Malaysia, and regulatory challenges of blockchain in supply-chain industries. Awards include the 2019 University of Malaya Excellence Award for her book Cyber terrorism: The legal and enforcement issues, which became a top downloaded eBook by World Science Publishers in 2020. She has also received multiple service awards (2019–2021) from the University of Malaya.
Dr Tehrani is involved with international organizations like the Australian & New Zealand Society of International Law and serves on editorial boards for journals including the International Journal of Digital Crime and Forensics. Her latest book, Regulatory Aspects of Artificial Intelligence on Blockchain (2021), explores legal implications of AI-blockchain integration in sectors like healthcare and logistics.
