Dr. Paola Ricciardi is a Heritage Science Advisor and Research Fellow at Queen Mary University of London (part-time) and Research and Partnerships Manager at the Natural History Museum. She co-leads the AHRC-funded project 'Hidden in Plain Sight: Historical and Scientific Analysis Of Premodern Sacred Books' (2024–2026). Her expertise lies in non-invasive imaging and spectroscopic techniques for analyzing art, manuscripts, and archaeological objects, with a focus on medieval and early modern materials. Ricciardi also engages in research management, leadership, and curriculum development for school programs.
