Pamela Trafford is a Senior Lecturer II in the Department of Accounting at the Isenberg School of Management, University of Massachusetts since 2010. With a career spanning over three decades, she holds an MBA from the University of Montana (1982) and a BA in Anthropology (1977). A Certified Public Accountant since 1982, she previously served as Tax Senior Manager at KPMG (1988–1992) and held roles from Staff to Manager in Tax at KPMG (1982–1991).
Her research focuses on Teaching and Learning with Technology, Financial Literacy, and Professional Issues for Certified Public Accountants. She teaches advanced undergraduate and graduate accounting courses, including Foundations of Financial Accounting (MBA), Financial Accounting and Reporting (MSA), and Principles of Managerial Accounting.
Awarded the Isenberg Teaching Fellow (2020–2021) and Lybrand Silver Medal (2020), Trafford has been repeatedly recognized for teaching excellence. Her accolades include multiple nominations for the University Distinguished Teaching Award and a College Outstanding Teacher Award (2014–2015). She also participated in the inaugural University Innovation Fellows program (2016).
