Pal Mangat

Professor Pal Mangat is a Senior Academic and Director of the Centre for Infrastructure Management at the Materials and Engineering Research Institute (MERI), Sheffield Hallam University. His research focuses on composite materials, thermal technology, and sustainable construction solutions. He leads projects addressing infrastructure durability, including novel composite panels and microwave curing techniques for repair mortars.

Research interests include enhancing thermal and acoustic properties of construction materials, corrosion thresholds in alkali-activated concrete, and sustainable material development. His work bridges academia and industry through collaborations like the KTP award-winning project with Inditherm.
