Page Stephens

Page Stephens is a mezzo soprano, voice teacher, and arts administrator. She holds a Lecturer position in the voice faculty at Austin Community College and serves as Assistant Director for Operations at the Butler School of Music, University of Texas at Austin. Stephens specializes in vocal performance, new music, and contemporary opera, with a focus on works by women and living composers.

Her research interests include vocal pedagogy, interdisciplinary performance practices, and the promotion of underrepresented composers. Stephens has premiered over 20 contemporary works, including the role of Eva Mozes Kor in Thomas B. Yee’s opera Eva and the Angel of Death, a 2024 American Prize finalist.

She maintains an active performing career with groups like VAMP Vocals, Copland House, and Austin Symphony Orchestra. Awards include recognition for her advocacy of new music through vocal performance.

As an educator, Stephens runs a private voice studio and contributes to music education initiatives. Her administrative roles involve operational oversight of the Butler School of Music’s Box Office, scheduling, and communications.
