Pablo Torio Gomez

Pablo Torio Gomez serves as a full-time Professor in the Department of Signal Theory and Communications at the School of Telecommunications Engineering, University of Vigo, Spain. He is affiliated with the Research Center for Telecommunication Technologies and leads research activities within the SR Sistemas Radio (Radio Systems) group at the Vigo campus.

He earned his PhD from the University of Vigo in 2005 with doctoral research titled 'Measurement and analysis of impulsive noise in radio channels', supervised by Dr. Manuel García Sánchez. His academic foundation centers on telecommunications engineering with specialized expertise in signal integrity.

His research focuses on Signal Processing and Communications with critical applications in Wireless Systems. Key investigation areas include radio channel noise characterization, impulsive interference modeling, and robust communication protocols for radio environments. This work directly addresses reliability challenges in modern wireless infrastructure through advanced signal analysis techniques.

Prof. Torio Gomez actively contributes to the SR Sistemas Radio research group under the Research Center for Telecommunication Technologies, driving experimental and theoretical projects in radio communication systems at the University of Vigo.
