Pablo Pareja Alcaraz serves as a Serra-Hunter Fellow (equivalent to Assistant Professor) in International Relations at Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) and holds the administrative position of Vice-rector for Students, welcome, engagement and support projects. He concurrently acts as Academic Coordinator of the Erasmus Mundus Master in Public Policy at the Institut Barcelona d'Estudis Internacionals (IBEI) and has been a member of the Board of Directors of Spain's United Nations Association since 2007.
His educational trajectory includes a degree in Political Science and Public Administration (1997-2001), followed by an MSc in European Studies: EU policy making from the London School of Economics (2001-2002), an MSc in Foreign Service from Georgetown University (2002-2004), and completion of his PhD in 2010.
His research spans critical domains of global governance and policy implementation, with emphasis on European Union integration mechanisms, transnational public policy frameworks, diplomatic strategies in foreign service, human rights advocacy, and electoral observation methodologies. His field experience during Cambodia's 2003 electoral process informs practical applications of democratic institution-building.
