Pablo Mukherjee

Professor Pablo Mukherjee is a leading scholar in the University of Oxford's Faculty of English, specializing in colonial & postcolonial literatures, 19th-century studies, world-literary analysis, and environmental humanities. His research bridges interdisciplinary topics such as literature’s intersections with science, law, and environmental crises.

He has authored five influential monographs, including Final Frontiers (winner of the 2021 SFRA Book Award) and co-edits Palgrave’s New Comparisons in World Literature series. Current projects explore anti-colonial world literatures and the role of humanities in climate change discourse through collaborations with the New School of the Anthropocene (NSOTA).
