Paolo Rigo is a Researcher (RtdB) in Italian Literature at the Department of Humanities, University of Rome Tre since November 2023. He holds a part-time position under Law 240/2010. His affiliations include the CERLIM (Université-Sorbonne Nouvelle) as 'Chercheur associé', and memberships in the PRIN 2022 project on Petrarch's manuscripts, as well as the SFB 1015 and PRIN 2017 projects. He is an 'Ordinary Member' of the Casa di Dante and Società Dantesca Italiana. He serves as Editorial Secretary of 'Scaffale Aperto' and on editorial boards of 'Dante e l'Arte', 'Romanica Olomucensia', and 'Molesto: Edebiyat Araştırmaları Dergisi'. He organizes the annual 'Laureatus in Urbe' seminar.
His research focuses on Italian literature from medieval to modern periods, with emphasis on Petrarch, stilnovismo, and comparative poetry studies. He authored over 100 publications, including monographs on Petrarch and Mario Luzi, and contributes to literary encyclopedias like the Dante Encyclopedia via Treccani. His work spans academic roles as Visiting Scholar at Tours and Freiburg, and as an Anvur evaluator for VQR 2015-2019.
He teaches 'History of Literary Genres' and 'History of Criticism' at the undergraduate and master’s levels, and tutors the Italian Literature and Linguistics curriculum.
