Owen L Anderson

Professor Owen L. Anderson holds multiple academic roles, including Lecturer at the University of Texas School of Law, Distinguished Oil and Gas Scholar, and Co-Academic Director of the KBH Center for Energy Law and Business. He is also a Senior Fellow (Melbourne Law Masters) at the Melbourne Law School and holds Emeritus titles from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where he was the Eugene Kuntz Chair in Oil, Gas, and Natural Resources and George Lynn Cross Research Professor. His legal expertise spans energy law, petroleum transactions, and water law.

Anderson earned his JD and BA from the University of North Dakota Main Campus. His research focuses on oil and gas law, energy law, and water law, emphasizing international petroleum transactions, legal frameworks for natural resources, and energy policy development. He has authored over 100 articles and several books, including International Petroleum Law and Transactions and Cases and Materials on Oil and Gas Law.

He has received notable honors such as the Eugene Kuntz Chair and lifetime Honorary Trustee of the Foundation for Energy and Natural Resources Law.
