About
Othman LAKHAL serves as a Lecturer at Polytech Lille, part of the University of Lille. His offices are located in the Polytech'Lille building (C002) and ESPRIT building (S0.10) on the Scientific City campus. He is affiliated with the SoftE research team and maintains professional contacts through ULille's institutional page.
Dr. LAKHAL earned his PhD in 2016 with a thesis titled 'Contribution to the modeling and control of hyper-redundant robots: application to additive printing in construction,' supervised by Rochdi Merzouki. His doctoral work established foundational research in robotic construction systems.
His research spans Automation, Robotics, and Control Systems, with specialized focus on hyper-redundant continuum-rigid hybrid robotic arms for construction applications. Key challenges addressed include shape tracking precision and environmental interaction dynamics in additive manufacturing processes.
As a supervisor, Dr. LAKHAL has guided PhD candidate Mohamed Amine Ammar in research on 'Modeling and dynamic control of a class of Continuum-Rigid hybrid arms: shape tracking and interaction with the environment,' demonstrating continuity in robotic control systems research.
He actively contributes to the SoftE research team, which focuses on software engineering solutions for complex technical systems, and maintains institutional presence through University of Lille's directory and organizational structure.
