Ossi Autio

Ossi Autio is a faculty member at the Department of Education, University of Helsinki, and serves as a supervisor in the Doctoral Program in School, Education, Society and Culture. His academic work focuses on technology education, gender equity in educational contexts, and physical literacy, primarily within the Finnish comprehensive school system.

Research Interests: Autio’s research examines the evolution of students’ attitudes toward technology education (1993–2022) and their technological reasoning. He also investigates gender equity in STEM education and physical literacy among preservice teachers.

Recent Publications: 15 most recent works include longitudinal studies on technology education curricula, comparative analyses of technological reasoning across Nordic-Baltic contexts, and evaluations of physical literacy programs in Finland.
