Osbert Bastani is an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer and Information Science, University of Pennsylvania, leading the trustml@Penn research group. He is affiliated with the ASSET, PRECISE, and PRiML centers, and the PLClub research group.
His research focuses on Trustworthy Neurosymbolic Systems, Synthesizing Neurosymbolic Programs, and Machine Learning for Programmer Productivity, with applications in verification, fairness, and human-AI collaboration. He received the NSF CAREER Award in 2023.
