Oron Catts is an Associate Professor and Academic Lead at the Institute of Advanced Studies, University of Western Australia, overseeing SymbioticA, a biological art research center. Previously, he directed SymbioticA within the School of Human Sciences and held visiting roles at Harvard Medical School, Stanford University, and the Royal College of Arts. His work bridges art, biology, and ethics, notably through the Tissue Culture and Art Project, which pioneered biological art. He has curated exhibitions globally, with works featured in MoMA, Mori Art Museum, and Ars Electronica.
