Orin Harris

Orin Harris is an Assistant Professor of Physics at the Department of Physics and Astronomy, Northeastern Illinois University (College of Arts and Sciences). He holds a Ph.D. in Physics and dual B.S. degrees in Physics and Mathematics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

His research focuses on Experimental Astroparticle Physics and Experimental Elementary Particle Physics, with prior experience as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Indiana University, South Bend (2013–2015). He currently teaches PHYS-103: Universe: Past, Present and Future, covering topics from the Big Bang to life beyond Earth, and emphasizes active learning through reading, homework, and interactive tools like iClicker.
