Oriana Ciani

Oriana Ciani is an Associate Professor of Practice at SDA Bocconi School of Management, specializing in Health Economics and Health Technology Assessment (HTA). She has been with the institution since 2010, coordinating the Epidemiology and Public Health module in the Master of International Health Care Management, Economics and Politics (MIHMEP) program.

• Coordinator of HORIZON Europe project HI-PRIX (2023-2026)

Her research focuses on HTA methodology for medical devices and digital technologies, evidence synthesis for policy-making, and economic evaluation of healthcare interventions. She has contributed to major international projects like MedTecHTA, Mapping NCD, and COMED.

Recent publications analyze mobile health applications, PROs (patient-reported outcomes), and machine learning in health economics. Articles highlight innovative pricing schemes for healthcare technologies and methodological advancements in HTA.
