Ori Pomson

Ori Pomson is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Law, University of Cambridge, specializing in international legal frameworks. His research spans customary international law, cyber operations, humanitarian law, and judicial dispute mechanisms.

• Education: LLB (2011-15) and LLM (2020-21) from Hebrew University of Jerusalem
• Legal Practice: Assistant Legal Adviser for Cyber Affairs in the Israel Defence Forces (2015-2021), Israel Bar member since 2016

His work focuses on the intersection of digital warfare and legal norms, including the legal status of cyber data under IHL and state responsibility in cyber conflicts. Recent publications analyze Ukraine-Russia interventions and humanitarian relief protocols.

Ori contributes to debates on proportionality assessments in cyber conflicts and the application of the Monetary Gold principle. He is affiliated with the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law and supervised by Professor Lorand Bartels and Dr. Fernando Bordin.
