Oreane Edelenbosch

Dr. Oreane Edelenbosch is an Assistant Professor in Environmental Sciences at Utrecht University's Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development. Her research focuses on energy efficiency, climate change scenarios, and sustainable development pathways. She holds a PhD obtained during her tenure at the PBL Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency and completed postdoctoral research at the Polytechnic University of Milan, where she studied behavioral impacts on energy consumption.

Edelenbosch contributes to the IPCC's climate science community, notably through work on Shared Socio-Economic Scenarios (SSPs) as part of the IMAGE team. She collaborates with the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research and the European Institute for Energy and Economics. Her teaching includes courses like 'Integrated Assessment of Climate Change' and 'Mathematics and Systems Analysis.'

Her research spans global energy transitions, circular economy policies, and climate mitigation strategies. Notable contributions include analyzing decarbonization pathways for hard-to-abate sectors and modeling the socioeconomic impacts of climate policies.
