Onder Albayram

Dr. Onder Albayram is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), part of the College of Medicine. His research focuses on neurodegenerative mechanisms, mitochondrial dynamics, and the role of endocannabinoid systems in brain aging. He investigates neuroprotective pathways such as ceramide-mediated mitophagy in traumatic brain injury and explores lymphatic system dysfunction in neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s.
