Dr. Omri Grinberg is a Research Fellow at the Martin Buber Society of Fellows, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem (2022–2026), and previously held postdoctoral positions at the University of Haifa and Hebrew University. His work bridges political-legal anthropology, human rights studies, and critical theory, focusing on the intersections of NGO documentation, colonial legacies, and testimonial practices in Israel/Palestine.

His research examines bureaucratic archiving of Palestinian testimonies in Israeli human rights NGOs, analyzing how colonial modes of documentation both perpetuate and resist oppression. Current projects explore witness testimony-based art (WTBA), interrogating its role in destabilizing legal/factual binaries within liberal politics. Publications appear in The International Journal of Human Rights, Cambridge Journal of Anthropology, and Anthropologica, among others.
Recent awards include two Honorable Mentions from the Israeli Sociological Society (2022, 2020) and the Doctoral Completion Award at the University of Toronto. He has received grants from the Truman Research Institute, Duke University’s Human Rights Archive, and the American Anthropological Association. Grinberg also co-edited the special issue "Witnessing: Truths, Technologies, and Transformations" (2021) and contributed to interdisciplinary dialogues on trauma, colonialism, and art.
