Ombretta Caldarice

Ombretta Caldarice is a Fixed-term Researcher at the Politecnico di Torino, affiliated with the Interuniversity Department of Territorial Sciences, Planning and Policies (DIST) and the Responsible Risk Resilience Center (R3C). She serves as Scientific Manager for projects like MAINCODE and YOUTH, focusing on climate adaptation and urban resilience.

• Research Interests: Institutional innovation, urban planning regulation, resilience in spatial and territorial governance, nature-based solutions, climate change, GIS, and sustainability sciences.

• Teaching Roles: Course Lecturer for Dal Piano al Progetto and Atelier Città e Territorio B at Politecnico di Torino, and Visiting Professor at the University of Southern Denmark.
• Scientific Contributions: 15+ publications on urban climate shelters, territorial resilience, and co-production strategies, with recent works in Nature-Based Solutions for Urban and Peri-Urban Areas (Springer, 2025) and conference proceedings for SIU and IFOU.
