Omari Carter is Assistant Professor in the Dance Department at University of Wisconsin-Madison and founder of Motion Dance Collective. With an MA in Screendance from London Contemporary Dance School and BA from London Metropolitan University, his practice centers on Hip Hop culture, body percussion, and screendance production.
Carter has created digital-dance content for international organizations including Breakin' Convention, Chicago Children's Theatre, and South East Dance. His productions bridge theatre, documentary, and experimental forms, frequently examining identity and cultural expression through movement vocabulary.
