Omar Pimienta

Omar Pimienta is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He specializes in Transborder Cultural Production and Creative Writing, focusing on the cultural citizenship of transcalifornian communities and the spatial ontology of transborder existence. His research bridges literary studies, cultural geography, and migration studies.

His creative work includes five poetry collections and a short story collection, exploring themes of border crossings, identity, and marginality.
