Dr Oliver Wilson is a Senior Lecturer at the Carnegie School of Sport, Leeds Beckett University. His research focuses on exercise physiology, mechanisms of adaptation to training and detraining, age-related sarcopenia, and metabolic diseases such as insulin resistance and type II diabetes.
Education:

- PhD in Exercise Physiology, University of Birmingham
Research Interests:
- Fuel utilization during exercise and its modulation by diet
- Age-related anabolic resistance and its mitigation through physical activity
- Physiological responses to breath-hold diving and apnoeic training
- Differences in substrate oxidation between running and cycling
