Prof. Dr. Oliver Christ is a Professor at the Department of Environmental Engineering of the University of Applied Sciences Weihenstephan-Triesdorf (HSWT). He holds administrative roles including Dean and Programme Director for the Water Technology degree programme, as well as membership in the DWA working groups on novel sanitation systems. His research spans urban hydraulic engineering, wastewater heat utilisation, and resource recovery from waste.
His scientific awards include the Bavarian Energy Prize 2012 (1st place in 'Energy Concepts and Initiatives') for the project 'Heating with Heat from Wastewater', and contributions to the DWA Max von Pettenkofer Special Prize (2015) for advising student Max Mayer. He has led projects on conversion of small sewage plants to digestion plants and stormwater management, funded by the Bavarian State Office for the Environment (LfU).
