Oliver Appling Bucklin

Oliver A. Bucklin is a Researcher and doctoral candidate at the Institute for Computational Design and Construction (ICD) at the University of Stuttgart. His work focuses on sustainable building practices, particularly the development of energy-efficient solid timber construction systems using computational design and advanced fabrication techniques.

Oliver’s projects include the IBA Timber Prototype House and the ITECH Research Demonstrator, emphasizing material efficiency and recyclability. He is part of the Performative Wood research group at ICD, advancing innovations in solid timber systems.
