Olga Levaniouk

Olga Levaniouk is Professor of Classics at the University of Washington, specializing in Homeric poetry within Ancient Greek song culture. Her research examines Greek myth, ritual, and oral poetics through comparative frameworks including Indic, Slavic, and Turkic traditions.

Her publications analyze nuptial themes from Homer to Erinna, with recent work exploring cross-cultural dream narratives and Herodotean biographical traditions. She directs graduate studies and contributes to the Homer Multitext Project.

Honored with Loeb Foundation and Royalty Research Fund fellowships, she promotes cross-disciplinary approaches to ancient literature through editorial work for the Center for Hellenic Studies.
