Olga Guadalupe

Olga Guadalupe is a Lecturer in Foreign Languages at the University of Pennsylvania since 2011. She holds a Ph.D. in Spanish Literature from the University of Pennsylvania (2009). Her academic appointments have included positions at Bucknell University, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, NYU in Madrid, and Universidad Antonio de Nebrija. She actively participates in the Penn-in-Madrid Summer Program, teaching courses in language, culture, literature, and film.

Her research focuses on Early Modern Spanish literature, 19th-century realism, contemporary poetry, and film studies. Key areas include the impact of poetry prizes on canon formation, intergenerational dialogues between Spain's Baroque traditions and modern poets, and representations of educated women in 19th-century realist novels. She has published extensively, including the book Epistolaridad y Realismo (2016) and poetry collections like De amor tan solo (2007) and Voces dispares (2014).
