Olen York is an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship and the Kermit McGinnis Distinguished Professor at the Lewis College of Business, Marshall University. He serves as Director of Entrepreneurship Education and oversees the WV Innovation and Business Model Competition. His roles include teaching entrepreneurial mindset, team formation, design thinking, and intellectual property strategy.
Research focuses on entrepreneurial pedagogy, innovation, and the intersection of intellectual property with business strategy. He co-founded the Innovating for Impact Center (iCenter) to support student and community entrepreneurship. Beyond academia, he maintains a law practice specializing in intellectual property counseling.
