Assistant Professor · Micromagnetism
Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-RossendorfAbout
Oleksandr Pylypovskyi is a researcher at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) since 2019 and an Assistant Professor at Kyiv Academic University (KAU) since 2014. His research focuses on micromagnetism, spintronics, soliton dynamics, and computational methods in physics. He leads the Intelligent Materials and Systems group at HZDR and contributes to the RiTM Team at TSNUK.
Research interests include magnetic symmetries, topological solitons, and geometric effects in nanoscale systems. Key projects involve curvilinear magnetic nanoarchitectures, antiferromagnetic domain walls, and magnetoelectric effects in Cr₂O₃ thin films. His work bridges theoretical physics with experimental advancements in nanomagnetism and sensor technologies.
- Education: Master's from Taras Shevchenko National University (2012), PhD in theoretical physics (2016)
- Teaching: Courses on near-field electrodynamics, software engineering, and mathematical physics at KAU
- Key Labs/Teams: Intelligent Materials & Systems Group (HZDR), RiTM Team (TSNUK)
