Ofer Eldar is a Professor at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law and a Research Fellow at the Leibniz Institute for Economic Research Halle (IWH) since 2024. He also holds affiliations with the European Corporate Governance Institute.

Key Publication (2023): In Review of Financial Studies, Eldar and co-author Jillian Grennan explored how liability waivers affect venture capital investment and startup growth. Their findings highlight increased within-industry VC investment, improved capital raising, and successful exits for startups due to common VC director networks.
