Oanh Nguyen is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Applied Mathematics at Brown University. She holds a PhD from Yale University (2017) and has held prior positions at Princeton University and the University of Illinois. Her research focuses on probability theory, stochastic processes, and their applications, with notable contributions to universality properties of random functions and epidemic modeling on random networks.

Research Interests:
Dr. Nguyen investigates fundamental questions in probability theory, including random polynomials, random graphs, and Markov chain mixing times. Recent work examines phase transitions in contact processes and the interplay between network structure and epidemic dynamics.
