ONG Ee Ing

ONG Ee Ing is a Principal Lecturer at the Yong Pung How School of Law, Singapore Management University (SMU), with a full-time appointment since July 2024. She previously served as Senior Lecturer (2019–2024) and Lecturer (2014–2019) at SMU, and as Adjunct Faculty (2010–2014).

• Education: Juris Doctor (cum laude) from George Mason University School of Law (2006), Master of Arts in English Literature (1999), and Bachelor of Arts (Honors, magna cum laude) in English and American Literature from Brown University (1999).

Her research areas include Legal Writing, Ethics and Social Responsibility, Corporate Law, Commercial Law, and the intersection of AI and Law. Her work often addresses technology’s legal implications, data privacy, and legal education innovation.

Notable publications and research trends focus on data protection (e.g., Guide to Legal Analysis & Writing), empirical studies on contact-tracing technology acceptance, and legal pedagogy reforms. Her 2020 work reflects pandemic-driven shifts toward online teaching methods.
