Nynke Schulp is an Associate Professor of Environmental Geography at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, affiliated with the Faculty of Science and the Amsterdam Sustainability Institute. Her research focuses on sustainable land use, cultural landscapes with agricultural roles, and global interactions between consumption patterns and ecosystems. She leads projects like BrightspotsCSA and contributes to Horizon Europe initiatives (PLUSChange, FoodCityBoost). She holds a PhD in Land Dynamics from Wageningen University (2009).
Her expertise includes ecosystem services mapping, land-use modeling, and participatory research in Europe and beyond.
