Nur Ayday

Nur Ayday is a Turkish violoncellist affiliated with Anadolu University’s State Conservatory in the Music Department. She graduated from Anadolu University in 2003 and pursued advanced studies at Strasbourg Conservatory (2003-2008) and Fontys Conservatory under the Erasmus Programme (2009-2010), completing her artistic proficiency in 2020. She has performed extensively as a chamber musician with the "Cellistique Viyolonsel Kuartet" and collaborated with orchestras in Turkey and abroad.

Her research focuses on string instruments, chamber music, and Baroque performance. Her publications analyze composers like Reger, Bloch, and Bach, emphasizing technical and historical aspects of violoncello literature. She has participated in workshops with Dennis Parker and Marcio Carneiro.

Recent articles explore 20th-century violoncello works, early compositions, and pedagogical methods, reflecting her expertise in instrumental performance and historical analysis. She currently teaches at Anadolu University Symphony Orchestra and collaborates in chamber music projects.

Ayday’s contributions to Turkish symphonic and chamber music include performances for ABBTV and TRT Music during the 2021 pandemic, highlighting her engagement with public music dissemination and contemporary cultural projects.
