Professor Norbert Nübler serves in the Department of Slavic Studies within Kiel University's Faculty of Humanities. He holds office in Room 332 and leads the Center for East European Studies (ZOS), directing international academic initiatives focused on transnational cultural dynamics.
His research specializes in intercultural frameworks between Germany and Eastern European nations, particularly through three flagship programs: the International Master's in Intercultural Studies: Poles and Germans in Europe, the Intercultural Studies: Russia and Germany transregionally program, and the interdisciplinary Migration and Diversity master's track. This work examines historical-political interfaces, migration patterns, and societal diversity in Central/Eastern European contexts.
