Norah Shultz is Professor and Chair of Sociology at San Diego State University's College of Arts and Letters. She serves as Director of Inclusive Curriculum in the Division of Student Affairs and Campus Diversity and as doctoral faculty for the EdD Educational Leadership Program. Her administrative roles include former Associate Vice President of Student Achievement and Dean positions at Arcadia University.
Her research focuses on sociology of higher education, exploring multiculturalism, internationalization, diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success. She specializes in research methods pedagogy and has led curriculum reforms in general education.
Dr. Shultz has secured significant funding from ESRC, U.S. Department of Education, and Leverhulme Trust. Her recent publications examine curriculum revision strategies for diversity engagement and challenges in multicultural education. She leads projects on student success with the College of Engineering and Center for Teaching Critical Thinking & Creativity.
