Nora Miller

Nora Miller is an Assistant Professor of Psychology and DEL Coordinator at Alaska Pacific University (APU). She holds an M.S. in Counseling Psychology from APU and a B.A. in Chinese from Hamilton College. Her teaching focuses on unconventional learning methods, including courses like Ecopsychology, Psychotherapeutic Uses of the Wilderness, and Community Psychology in Malawi.

Miller emphasizes adventure and experiential learning, having lived and studied in Hong Kong, cycled through Asia, and participated in extreme activities like Eco-Challenges. Her personal adventures include surviving accidents such as an appendectomy in Thailand and a broken vertebra from a skiing incident. She values combining academics with real-world challenges, both in her teaching and family life as a mother of two in Alaska.
