Nora Habelitz

Nora Habelitz is a Research Associate and Doctoral Candidate at Bielefeld University's Faculty of Sociology, Department of Politics and Society. She works on the Horizon 2020 Project "Climate, Inequality and Democratic Action: The Force of Political Emotions" (CIDAPE) under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Sonja Blum.

Her research focuses on the intersection of climate policy and democratic processes, with particular expertise in:

• Climate and Energy Policy
• Political Communication and Policy Narratives
• Political Emotions
• Democratic Innovations and Participation
• Qualitative Research methodologies

Ms. Habelitz completed her Master's in Social Sciences at Humboldt University Berlin, where her thesis examined "Political Representation in the German Citizen Assembly for the Climate 2021." Prior to her current position, she worked as a Research and Project Assistant at the Hans-Böckler-Foundation focusing on "Work of the Future" research. She also serves on the Quality Improvement Commission as a representative of academic mid-level staff.
