Dr. Noha Ziedan is a Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader for the BSc Chemistry programme at the University of Chester, School of Natural Sciences. She holds a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from Cardiff University and has held academic positions at institutions including Zagazig University and Manchester Metropolitan University. Her research focuses on discovering novel small molecules for disease treatment, particularly in cancer research, including selective apoptosis induction in cancer cells, protein-protein interactions as drug targets, and development of inhibitors for kinesin and the COVID-19 main protease. She teaches Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, and Medicinal Chemistry.
