Noelene Weatherby-Fell is an Associate Professor and Associate Dean (Student Life) in the School of Education at the University of Wollongong. She holds leadership roles in national and state teacher education accreditation bodies, combining over 20 years of school experience with research in preservice teacher preparation, resilience frameworks, and mental health education.
Her research focuses on teacher resilience through projects like BRiTE (Building Resilience in Teacher Education), which developed online resources and frameworks for pre-service educators. She has contributed to policy discussions on teacher accreditation standards and collaborates internationally on intercultural education issues.
Awards include the 2011 Outstanding Achievement in Education Award and 2012 Intercultural Research Contributions Award. Her work spans resilience storytelling with primary students, mentorship practices, and WIL (Work-Integrated Learning) placement supervision strategies.
