Prof. Nobuko Inaba is a Professor at the University of Tsukuba, serving as Chair. She specializes in heritage conservation education and interdisciplinary approaches to heritage studies. Her work addresses evolving expert knowledge in heritage conservation, integrating disciplines like urban planning, anthropology, and climatology. At ACHS 2016, she participated in sessions discussing the redefinition of expert roles in heritage conservation and the societal impacts of heritage discourse.
She co-chaired a session titled "An Intergenerational Conversation about Heritage Conservation Education: The Rise, Fall, and (Necessary) Redefinition of Expert Knowledge," exploring how heritage expertise has expanded beyond traditional fields.
