Nina Wehner

Prof. Dr. Nina Wehner is a Professor of Sociology and Dean of the Department of Social Work at Freiburg University of Social Work. Her current research focuses on gender violence and gender diversity as challenges for social work practice, alongside teaching in family sociology, gender studies, and qualitative methods of empirical social research. She is actively involved in interdisciplinary projects such as Queeres Jugendzentrum (Queer Youth Center) and Häusliche Gewalt in der Pandemie (Domestic Violence During the Pandemic).

Her work addresses societal transformations, including topics like (Un-)Gerechtigkeit in der Energiewende (In)justice in the Energy Transition) and digital discourse analysis in social work contexts.
