Nina Srinivasan Rathbun

Nina Srinivasan Rathbun is a Professor, Teaching Stream at the Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy at the University of Toronto. Previously, she held a position in the Department of Political Science and International Relations at the University of Southern California (USC). She earned her Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley in 2003.

Research Interests:

• International security, with a focus on multilateral nuclear non-proliferation and counterproliferation policies
• European integration, political economy, and democratization in post-communist Europe
• NATO and U.S. foreign policy
• Global governance and globalization

Teaching & Mentorship:

• Recipient of multiple USC Excellence in Teaching grants for innovative methods
• Mentored over 60 students who won prestigious scholarships (Rhodes, Marshall, Fulbright, Boren)
• Directed undergraduate studies and advised students on academic/career paths in international relations

Professional Experience:

• Served in the U.S. State Department's Non-Proliferation Bureau
• Worked at the U.S. Mission to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna
