Nina S Parikh

Clinical Associate Professor of Social and Behavioral Sciences at New York University’s Global Public Health (NYU GPH), Nina S. Parikh focuses on social, psychosocial, and cultural factors affecting health equity in underserved populations, including ethnic minorities, immigrants, and the elderly. Her research integrates community-based studies on aging, health disparities, and social determinants of health.

Education: BS in Biology (John Carroll University), MPH in Health Policy (Emory University), PhD in Sociomedical Sciences (Columbia University).

Key Research: Examines social networks and vascular disease prevention, palliative care for chronically ill elders, and disparities in medication access. Collaborates on grant-funded studies with agencies like the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and NYC Department for the Aging.
