Dr. Nina D. Berova is a Research Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Columbia University. She holds a PhD from the University of Sofia, Bulgaria, and has held academic roles including Professor of Organic Chemistry and Stereochemistry at the University of Sofia and the Institute of Organic Chemistry at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. Her research focuses on stereochemical analysis using electronic circular dichroism (ECD), structural analysis of natural products and synthetic compounds, and development of chiroptical sensors. She has collaborated internationally and served as co-editor of the journal Chirality (1998–2018) before becoming its Editor-in-Chief (2019–present).
